Fields Medals

Fields Medals were awarded today to Andrei Okounkov (Princeton); Grigori Perelman (of recent Poincare conjecture fame); Terence Tao (UCLA); and Wendelin Werner (Paris-Sud in Orsay), and the Nevanlinna Prize to Jon Kleinberg (Cornell).
