New Books List for Math/Stats Available

The library is testing out some ways to notify library users of books recently added to the Library's collection.

Right now, there are a few ways you can find this out for Math/Stats books:

a) Go to the New Book List page and specify parameters to display new books (for the callnumber range(s) area, select QA for Math/Stats.)

b) Click here for Math/Stats books added within the last week

c) By RSS feed (left click and paste this into your feed reader)

d) Go to the Math/Stats Library Subject Pages for any of the above

I am going to try to display the results of the RSS feed on the above page, but am working out some technical difficulties (accented letters seem to confuse the issue...) Hopefully I'll get this worked out soon. In the meantime, have fun with the above links.

Students: MS Office Available at a Great Price

Microsoft has a new promotion geared toward UofC students. A student can purchase Office 2007 for as low as $22.00 (this is for a one-year license). If you are interested in this offer, go to:
http://www.ucalgary.ca/it/help/articles/2454
and follow the instructions. The instructions will take you to the portal and, from there, to the Microsoft site. Because this is a student offering it is only under the student role in the portal. If you would like to check it out (outside of the portal) go to:
http://www.theultimatesteal.ca/
(U of Calgary is not listed on this site, but it accepted my @ucalgary.ca email address, so we're eligible.)
